Professional Experience

Richard D. Williams has been a State Certified General Real Estate Appraiser since 1992. He has conducted and supervised commercial and residential real estate appraisal assignments throughout California. He is experienced in arbitration and has represented the interests of clients in both the Superior and Federal Court System.

He has served as president of the California Hotel Association and the Sacramento Convention and Visitors Bureau. He has served as a business representative on the Redevelopment Advisory Committee for the 7th Council District of Sacramento.

From 1985 until 1999, while employed by Western Capital Resources, Mr. Williams was an asset manager and responsible for acquisition, re-development, operation and disposition of a portfolio of properties that included office buildings, hotels, and apartment complexes.

From 1980 through 1984, Mr. Williams was a Vice-President of Operations for Caesars World. Initially hired as an on-staff consultant to institute company-wide internal control systems, he later focused on new property development.

From 1973 until 1980, Mr. Williams was President of Sun Resorts Company, a Real Estate Management Company in Sun Valley, Idaho. He has held Real Estate Licenses in both Idaho and California.

Education

Mr. Williams graduated from Cornell University with a B.S. degree in Hospitality Management with a major in accounting and attended the University of Minnesota for advanced studies in finance and accounting. In addition to participating in numerous professional seminars, Mr. Williams has completed five formal Appraisal Institute Courses focusing on commercial acquisition valuation.

Certification

Mr. Williams holds a General Real Estate Appraiser Certificate with the State of California, OREA #AG021153. He is also a Certified Hotel Administrator with the American Lodging Association. Mr. Williams was a Captain in the United States Air Force and is a Vietnam Veteran.
